ESL Student Places Second in Kraus Memorial Student Poster Competition

Justin Kasemodel, a doctoral student in the Ohio State Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering and a graduate research associate at the ElectroScience Laboratory, earned second place ($300) in the John D. and Alice Nelson Kraus Memorial Student Poster Competition. Justin's advisor is Professor John L. Volakis.

The competition was held at the 2009 ECE Alumni Reunion on September 12. Faculty and alumni voted for their top three favorite entries out of 21 total student posters. The other winners were: first place ($500), Samuel Rivera, Biologically-Inspired Face Shape Detection, advisor Aleix Martinez; and third place ($100), Digbijoy Nath, High Speed GaN-Based Electronics, advisor Siddharth Rajan.
