Hello! My name is Yakup Bayram.

1. What is your area of research?

My area of research is EMI/EMC, Wireless Sensor Networks and Novel Antennas for load bearing applications.


2. What are you looking for in a prospective student?

I think there are 2 major things that we are looking for in prospective students. The first one is a high drive for innovative research and the other one is having the ability to carry out independent research. I think these are the 2 major things that we are looking for in prospective students.


3. What makes ESL unique for prospective students?

There are three major things that really differentiate ElectroScience Lab from other similar institutes:

  1. The first one is i think our collaborative culture in which researchers and students can freely exchange knowledge in broad spectrum of RF topics.
  2. The second one is our large alumni base from which our new graduates can gain by establishing strong point of contacts points in both industry and academia.
  3. I think the third one is our resources that are available to us at the ElectroScience Lab. We are a kind of facility that we have all under one roof. In other words, we have all the equipment and software needed to carry out research in broad spectrum of topics.

I think these are the three major things that really differentiate ElectroScience Lab.
